Southpoint Estate Planning Sponsors the NC Down Syndrome Alliance Buddy Walk

Earlier this month, Southpoint Estate Planning was proud to sponsor the NC Down Syndrome Alliance Buddy Walk — and what a perfect day it was! The weather couldn’t have been better as families gathered to celebrate, play, and connect with one another.

Our team loved spending the day with friends old and new while learning more about the incredible resources available through the NC Down Syndrome Alliance (NCDSA). The kids had a blast — the hockey station was a huge hit (Max even got to take home a puck!), and Grey could hardly be convinced to leave the bounce house at the end of the day.

Events like the Buddy Walk are a wonderful reminder that it truly takes a village. We’re grateful to be part of such a caring, empowering community that’s dedicated to supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

The NCDSA’s mission is to empower, connect, and support the lifespan of individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community through outreach, advocacy, and education in North Carolina. Their vision is a world where all people with Down syndrome are empowered to achieve their full potential and live healthy, fulfilling lives as valued members of society.

This year’s Buddy Walk — NCDSA’s largest event and fundraiser — welcomed about 2,000 participants and raised an incredible $328,251! We’re so proud to support their efforts and to walk alongside this inspiring community.
